One person found this helpful. My son really enjoys this game. I recently bought this game from Amazon and have been disappointed with it. It is extremely hard to get to a hunting stand in order to shoot a buck.
If the deer sees movement then the hunt is over. You must balance the nunchuck before you can move forward which is extrememly hard to do. If the balance is not done correctly then the deer flee and the hunt is over and you are required to do over the tests before you are allowed to hunt. The same speech is made and the same tests are required. On the first hunt you must kill one duck and then take two pictures of deer in the field you will hunting in with a camera.
It seems you are always detected by the deer and you must balance between a scale using the nunchuck. This is not easy to do.
If it is not balanced then the deer are scared off and you have to repeat the requirements before you can hunt. There is a portion of the game that is arcade and those are fun. There are only 4 arcades and it would have been nice to have more of those. They are just too few and too short. There is also a Tournament series included. Both the Tournament and the hunts are extremely hard and frustrating.
I have yet to kill a deer in either one after numerous tries. The Remington hunting games are much more fun. The bird, the North American or the African games by Remington are entertaining and with little practice become successful in accomplishing. A game should be challenging, but something you can accomplish with practice in short time. These games that are so hard that you cannot obtain success, are some that will soon not be played and considered a waste of time and money. Nobody wants to feel that they are a failure and this game makes me feel that way.
I will stick with my Remington games that at least I can be successful in my hunts. I have found the Cablea games extremely hard and not much fun because of that. Really fun hunting game for the Wii, had better graphics than expected for most of the other Wii games that I had. My toddler son, even enjoys watching me play this game, pretending he is going hunting also.
Go on a guided hunt and shoot for the animals but only the ones that you have tags for. We did get a Bass pro shops game as well and this is more a family favorite.
You can create a outdoor hunting show with the Cabela's one that is great fun for the kids. Overall this is the hardest of the Cabela games yet, next to the Dangerous hunts of course.
